DEMAND for Goa is at a high as new accounts sign up more charters for the Indian beach destination.
Sita, which handles 100,000 passengers a year to Goa on charters and tours, is expecting a 10 per cent hike in charter business this coming winter season.
Sita vice president Prabhat Verma said new charter accounts from the UK and the Commonwealth of Independent States would add some 500 additional seats a week from October to March 2011. Sita surpassed the 50,000th mark in charter passengers to Goa in the 2009-2010 winter season.
For its part, Le Passage to India has bagged two new charter accounts that will bring the company a 15 per cent hike in Goa business this season.
