THE OPENING of the St. Regis Bangkok has been pushed back a little over a month to December 1, from its initial mid-October schedule.
Sales and marketing director, Christopher Chung, said: “If we could have gotten in (during the protests), we could have opened on time.”
The hotel is located on Rajdamri Road on Ratchaprasong Intersection, which was occupied for nearly two months between April and May by anti-government protestors.
It will have 227 keys, comprising 176 guestrooms and 51 suites. Rooms will measure between 50sqm and 300sqm. Besides being fully-equipped with luxury amenities and facilities, all rooms and suites will come with the brand's signature, The St. Regis Butler.
Of the five F&B outlets, one will be conceptualised by a Western celebrity chef. Other facilities include the Elemis Spa, a health club, and various meeting and banquet spaces.
According to Chung, room rates will range from around 10,000 baht (US$306) to 11,000 baht per night. Although its booking system had yet to be activated, the brand's followers have already made some bookings for the Christmas season, he said. |
